BAS ROUND 1 - 3rd/4th May 2008

SOUTH WALES VENUE

DIRECTIONS

From Carmarthen take the A40 towards St Clears. At the roundabout in St Clears (Little Chef on your right) take the first exit towards Pembroke Dock/Tenby (A477). Go through the village of Llanddowror and on to the next village called Red Roses. Once at Red Roses take the first left opposite the Sporting Chance pub.  Follow the road for about 2 miles and take the first left, continue for about 100 yards and the track is on the right.  It will be signposted from Red Roses.

From Whitland, at the St Clears roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Tenby and follow above instructions.

From Pembrokeshire/Tenby, head for Red Roses and take a right turn opposite the Sporting Chance pub and follow the above instructions.

The track will be signposted from the village of Red Roses (as per instructions & regulations set on us by the local Council).  Unfortunately, it will not be signposted from St Clears town.  However, you only need to follow the signs for Tenby/Pembroke and you will be on the correct road.

If you need any further information, please contact Nicola Davies on 07808762568 or Louise Jones 07870193442.

The nearest town to the track is St Clears, which has most local amenities available - Spar &  Happy Shopper; Chinese, Indian and Pizza Take Away food places; public houses and B&Bs, hotels and Travelodge, garages, post office, banks etc.

The next town is Carmarthen which has all the larger shops like Tesco and Morrisons.  The track is a few miles from the beach of Pendine, and a little further down the road is Tenby and Saundersfoot, as well as the Pembrokeshire coast and Oakwood Leisure Park.

ADMISSION FEES

Please note that the admission fee has risen this year and will be £20 for adults and £10 for OAP's and 12-16 year olds for the weekend including camping.  The Junior Drivers will also have to pay £20 at the gate and will have a slip given to them which they must retain and bring with them when signing on - ANY JUNIOR THAT COMES TO SIGN ON WITHOUT THE SLIP WILL HAVE TO REPAY IN ORDER TO RACE, so please make sure when you come into the field that you put the slip somewhere safe or preferably in your licence so that you don't forget to bring it with you to sign on.

The gate will be open from 12 noon on Thursday 1st May.

SCRUTINEERING & SIGNING ON INFORMATION

Scrutineering will start at 12 noon on Friday 2nd May until late Friday night and also be from 6.30am to 8am Saturday morning.  Once you have scrutineered, you can come and sign on immediately at the signing on tent.  You will also be able to pick up your BAS stickers from Louise Jones or Sandy Williams. For those drivers that have not had your BAS cards back due to not enclosing the self addressed stamped envelope, you will be able to collect these at the meeting from Louise Jones.  Can the Young Guns (all those under 21 years old, also please come to see me to check that you are entered)  I have had loads of forms without date of births on them, so I think the best solution is that you come to check with me, you will also get your Young Guns sticker at the same time that you sign on.

Signing on Fee - £3.00 per driver for the weekend

CAMPING REGULATIONS

You should all have received a slip with your licence book informing you of the new camping regulations.  The camping fields are quite clearly marked out at the venue and there is also a sign up at the gate entrance with the necessary information.  Please adhere to these rules otherwise there is a possibility that the meeting could be stopped should the regulations be broken.
