points system for south wales league 2008 season
The points from the heats and the final will be added together to give a grand total. The points are as shown below. For the opens, points will be based on finals only. There will be League Trophies presented at the end of the year in the League dinner to 4th place in each class, however, it will depend on how many are in the Ladies classes. The points given in the finals will be for the position that you cross the line regardless if there are any other League cars in the race, so if you cross the line in 3rd place and there are 2 cars from another League ahead of you, you will be given 3rd place points and not 1st place points as it used to be years ago. Any problems please see any of the League Committee who will explain all. There will be 5 qualifying meetings with 3 out of 5 to count.
Change to the Mens & Ladies Champion of Champions format. There will now be a race for this trophy at the Dash 4 Cash meeting. This is in order that all ladies from each classes from 1 - 10 and not just from Class 11, 12, 13 & 14 will get the chance to race for this trophy. Nicola will keep points and have a list of all ladies that will be eligible to race for the trophy. If the last meeting is cancelled, then the current points system will be used.
